First and foremost, I would like to congratulate the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan for their leadership in organizing the 30th Baku Energy Forum. It is really a fantastic opportunity to bring together the decision-makers, policy-makers on one hand, and companies, analysts, and experts on the other hand, stretching out from both Asia and Europe, all across, to discuss the main challenges ahead, what our priorities are, how we can better collaborate together, how we can secure gas supplies, because in Moldova, we have mentioned, we do not have gas resources, and it is important to secure its supply, to have good collaboration and to strengthen it.
I come from the International Energy Forum, and we are for inclusive dialogue, and forums like this foster and strengthen the networking and dialogue between stakeholders of the energy industry. So, I applaud the government of Azerbaijan and congratulate them for having held this forum for 30 years. I hope it will continue to be held and be even more successful.
 
I think this forum brings a lot of diverse people and companies from every sector. If you look at the panel combination, it is bringing in people from regulators to investors, to people from companies like Deloitte, BCG. I think, this type of forum is extremely effective and plays a vital role in Azerbaijan in bringing all these different organs of the investment society, if I may call it so, bringing them together to exchange opinion openly, candidly for the betterment and growth of Azerbaijan.
 
This year, both the Caspian Oil & Gas Exhibition and the Conference mark their 30th anniversaries. I’ve attended more than twenty-five of these events, and I’ve witnessed firsthand how both have taken shape and evolved over the years. The transformation has been tremendous—from the venues that hosted them to what these platforms have grown into today.
Today, the Forum’s focus is truly global. As Azerbaijan’s economic and strategic importance has steadily grown over the past three decades, the exhibition and conference have also expanded and matured in scope and significance.
I think this forum is a critical one and we hold it every year. It really helps to bring all the industry leaders together and to share companies’ short-term, mid-term, long-term vision. It helps everyone in the industry to better understand what is going on, what we are heading towards, and very importantly, how we should cooperate to deliver the set agenda more efficiently, in a manner that meets the current standards and environmental requirements, because we cannot operate in the same manner as we did before.
 
I think it is a great event: everybody meets and in the end it is not only a conference but a venue where business is done. What we like is that there is no good energy or bad energy in Baku: green or traditional — every energy is welcome. This is why we believe that Baku is really the center point of the industry. As MOL Group, we are very honoured to be here for the 5th year and we are, too, celebrating our 5th anniversary alongside the 30th anniversary of the Baku Energy Forum. We are extremely grateful to President Aliyev and also to SOCAR in the person of Mr Rovshan Najaf for having us here. We are very excited to be part of the next 30 years.
