The Japanese company Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Group has maintained a long-standing presence in Azerbaijan. For us, this Forum stands as the most prominent and significant event in the oil and gas sector—an event in which participation is essential. The issues discussed by the delegates are undoubtedly important and reflect the real directions in which the industry is evolving. However, what struck me the most was the caliber of the speakers taking the stage at the Baku Congress Center. These are the front-line decision-makers—individuals who speak from first-hand experience and authority. What they deliver is not a series of pre-written presentations, but direct and meaningful discussions of pressing challenges and topics. The presence of top executives from the world’s leading energy companies, along with high-ranking officials from neighbouring countries, underscores the elevated status of this Forum.
This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Caspian Oil & Gas exhibition—a truly remarkable milestone. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the organizers and to Azerbaijan’s entire oil and gas industry. The global economic landscape suggests that another 30 years of growth lie ahead, and that is precisely what I wish for this exhibition. To my knowledge, compared to exhibitions held in neighbouring countries—such as those in the Central and Middle Asian republics—Caspian Oil & Gas is the oldest and most established event of its kind in the region. This is a clear testament to its importance and continued success.
