The Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan and Japanese company Mitsui signed a Memorandum of Understanding in the field of renewable energy.
According to the Ministry, the Memo says about cooperation on capacity assessment and creation of conditions for investment in renewable energy projects in Azerbaijan.
In compliance with the document Azerbaijan will identify and develop the main factors for the creation of a regulatory framework encouraging investments in economically profitable renewable energy projects.
The Memo was signed by Deputy Energy Minister Samir Veliyev and Mochida Kenichi, Mitsui’s Vice President for Europe, Middle East & Africa.
