Such forums are instrumental for expanding the spirit of cooperation

First of all, I am extremely grateful to our Azerbaijani hosts for a very successful conference. This is the 30th anniversary — I wish them all the best and many more such conferences. I think it is extremely important to understand where all of us stand in terms of energy sector developments. As we transition towards cleaner and more sustainable fuels, we must also understand how we can complement and support each other. And for that matter I think such forums are instrumental to improve our understanding and expand the spirit of cooperation amongst us. Regarding the cast of participants, I think we had decent representation here at the first panel, with the moderator from the US and we had the European Commission represented; we had people from the African continent; then we had our brother — the Deputy Minister of Energy of Turkiye on the panel. These are also countries which have a fraternal bond amongst them, so, I think that cooperation will start from them and expand to other countries because this climate issue is not something that we can handle independently, so, this collective strategy must be thrashed out.
