Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov met with the Director-General of the National Companies Promotion Program of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Badr Al Badr.
According to Report, the sides exchanged views on current and future investment opportunities in Azerbaijan’s energy sector.
The meeting continued in a wide format with a delegation from the Ministry of Investment of Saudi Arabia, the Investment Department, and the National Companies Promotion Program. Deputy Energy Minister Kamal Abbasov also attended the meeting. Information was provided on Azerbaijan’s oil and gas fields, global energy transportation projects, “green energy” potential, auctions to attract private investment in the area, as well as other strategic goals and plans. The meeting discussed investment-based cooperation issues on both oil and gas projects, as well as renewable energy, including offshore wind and hydropower projects.
