he Joint Declaration, signed by 12 countries in Baku yesterday following the 3rd meeting of the Advisory Council on the Southern Gas Corridor Project, contains a number of surprises.
Under the Declaration, the project participants are ready to start estimating future volumes, new connecting gas pipelines and markets for further expansion of the SGC as the creation of its first phase is entering the final stage.
"Within the new stages Azerbaijan is ready to supply gas from gas fields Absheron, Umid, Babek, Karabakh, Dan Ulduzu, Ashrafi, and Shah Deniz 3 and other projects via the corridor," the Declaration says.
The Declaration contains no reference to the Turkmen or any other gas, except for Azerbaijani raw materials.
