SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) commissioned a new well at the Western Absheron field, the company's official website reported.
Well No. 31 was drilled from the offshore base No. 20. The drilling was carried out to the productive formation Lower Kirmaki Suite. The daily production rate of the well is 12 tons of oil.
Reserves of the West Absheron field are estimated at 10 million tons of oil.
