I represent an American company based in Canada. We are pleased to participate in Baku Energy Week; the event is excellently organized.
At the Baku Energy Forum, important issues for the oil and gas industry are being discussed. We had a great opportunity to listen to speeches by leaders of global oil and gas companies — it was very useful. The issues raised at the forum highlight all the current challenges faced by the oil and gas and energy industries today.
The forum is also important due to the growing role of Azerbaijan as a significant and reliable partner in the world. Azerbaijan and its oil and gas sector are actively developing. Our presence in Azerbaijan is one of the ways to support this development. We are participants in the onshore Azerbaijani “Guba–Khazar” project, and this year we will begin its implementation.
It is likely that next year we will begin exploratory drilling on the contract area. I hope that our cooperation with Azerbaijan will be successful.
