The Baku Energy Forum is one of the most significant events in the global energy sector. The relevance of its agenda, the pressing issues discussed, and the strategies for the development of the oil and gas industry and related sectors all serve as powerful testimony to its importance.
Given the current global situation, energy security has taken center stage—particularly for countries like Ukraine and Moldova, their integration into the European Union’s energy system, and the potential of these nations to contribute to the broader European energy framework. If you look at the list of participating countries at this year’s Forum, it is clear that nearly the entire world is represented—Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Pacific region. Without a doubt, this year’s conference can be described as truly global.
This year, both the Caspian Oil & Gas Exhibition and the Conference mark their 30th anniversaries. I’ve attended more than twenty-five of these events, and I’ve witnessed firsthand how both have taken shape and evolved over the years. The transformation has been tremendous—from the venues that hosted them to what these platforms have grown into today.
Today, the Forum’s focus is truly global. As Azerbaijan’s economic and strategic importance has steadily grown over the past three decades, the exhibition and conference have also expanded and matured in scope and significance.
